Radiator Move
Alex took out an old radiator from my bedroom and re-routed the pipe work before installing a new radiator on a different wall. He worked carefully throughout the job, having to take up flooring to re-route the pipes. He left the room clean and tidy. Highly recommend Alex, I’ll be booking him in again to replace the rest of the radiators.
Fitting a new bath
Protherm replaced a bath and boarded the walls with water proof boards. The work was carried out brilliantly, on time and within budget. Cannot fault the workmanship. Highly recommend the company.
New radiator, radiator valves, new kitchen tap and installation of Nest
From the outset, Alex was prompt in replying, giving a quote, setting a day for completion of work and promptness in coming to do the job. He was very thorough with his work and it was very obvious he takes pride in it. We are very pleased with what he did for us and have had many compliments on our new upright radiator. I would thoroughly recommend him and will definitely be ringing him again for any plumbing work in the future.
Bathroom leak
Alex was an amazing workman. He arrived on time and was very detailed with what needed to be done. His timekeeping was impeccable and he cleaned up after the work was done. His work standard was very high and we were so impressed with his work that we immediately considered him for more work at our home which we intend to book him for once we are ready to proceed. I will definitely recommend.
Amazing repair work and fitting!
We were so happy to have found Alex and firmly have his details saved for next time, super polite, went above and beyond and so nice to find someone who cares about what they do. Knowledgeable and professional service
Alex arrived on-time and was very professional. An underfloor leak was quickly found and my options discussed. Pricing is extremely competitive and transparent. I'll definitely be using Protherm moving forward.
Flooding Fix
Alex provided an outstanding service for us last week on an emergency job after our downstairs bathroom flooded. Nothing was too much trouble and we can't recommend him highly enough. Alex sourced a new toilet for us (which was more complicated than first thought) and fitted both this and a new sink unit. He was diligent, helpful, responsive and professional. He slotted our job in at short notice and took the stress out of the situation by keeping us informed throughout the whole process. We are extremely happy and very impressed with his work and would definitely recommend.
Bath tap replacement
Work was done really fast and I couldn’t be happier with it. Will contact the company for any future work needed as they are very reliable.
Fixing a shower
Alex was very quick to respond to my post which I very much appreciated, he was very quick to come look at the shower, diagnose the problem and order the part. As soon as it was delivered he came back and fixed the shower. He was very professional polite and took pains to explain the problem and solution so I felt very confident all through the process. I would definitely recommend him to anyone looking for a plumber and will be using him again for and future work I have. Thank you Alex.
Improving flow of heat through radiators
Alex was clear about when he would come and very punctual. He sorted out the problem efficiently and stayed to check all the radiators. The success of his work was a great relief since we had been advised by British Gas that only building work would achieve the desired result.
Bathroom and Kitchen
Protherm provide outstanding service. They're professional, friendly and reliable. What I value most is that they are very knowledgeable and always take the time to explain things and advise on how to get the best efficiency in the home. Protherm recently carried out work on our kitchen and bathroom projects and delivered to a high standard from start to finish. This included full bathroom suite installation, radiators, towel rails, hot water cylinder, gas boiler serviced, plumbing of new kitchen sink and Quooker tap providing instant boiling and chilled fresh water. It’s rare to find tradespeople this dependable so I highly recommend Alex and the team for any plumbing or heating needs.
Supply and fit new boiler and Hive system to 3 zones
We’d already had a couple of quotes for the work but decided to seek a third and advertised the work through Checkatrade. After a conversation a home visit was arranged. We were impressed with Alex who was both knowledgeable and thorough spending an hour going over the whole system. Subsequently we received a quotation which was competitive with the others and decided to proceed. The installation was completed efficiently and diligently including detection of a small gas leak not picked up in previous boiler inspections. Would highly recommend!
Microbore TRV installation
Very easy to deal with from the start and fit the job in at short notice. There was a bit of extra work needed to make the parts fit which he just got on with. He did a great job and was happy to answer other questions I had about the heating. Can't complain and would definitely come to Alex again in the future.
Radiator leak
We contacted Alex out of hours on an evening for a leak on our living room radiator. He quickly arranged to have a look at it in the following morning despite the short notice. He arrived on time and carried out the necessary work in a tidy manner and was very friendly. Great communication too!
